Meet Victoria Maycole

I’m Victoria Maycole, Founder and Director of Divine Transitional Center, a peer-operated organization based in Wilmington, Delaware. My passion for helping others comes from my own lived experiences—struggles with homelessness, drugs, alcohol addiction, and mental health challenges that once left me feeling lost and hopeless.

In 2007, my life changed forever when my son suffered an asthma attack that left him with severe brain damage. After fighting for a year and a half, he passed away. The pain of losing him was unbearable, and I was later diagnosed with major depression and anxiety. What I thought would break me instead pushed me toward my purpose.

Out of my deepest pain, Divine Transitional Center was born—an outpatient facility founded on the belief that recovery is possible and healing is real. Through this work, I’ve made it my mission to provide a safe, compassionate space where others can rebuild their lives and rediscover hope.
